If you are little into health supplements and always on the lookout for the best supplements to improve your well-being, you must have heard about CBD oil. As of now, in India, we are seeing so many brands popping up, building their own website and selling their own CBD oil. While this is a good sign, it also means as a consumer one needs to be a little cautious before you buy cbd oil in India.

While it is easy to enter CBD oil in a search bar and select one that is the cheapest, we will suggest otherwise. This post is for those who are looking to buy CBD oil and want to know what beginners should know about purchasing CBD oil.

A little intro for those who don’t know what CBD is

CBD is one of the most important chemicals found in cannabis plants. This substance is well known for its medicinal properties and if studies are to be believed,  it can relieve anxiety, discomfort, nervousness, and inflammation, among other things. It can even relieve symptoms associated with illnesses such as epilepsy, anxiety, cancer, PTSD, and others. CBD, unlike THC or tetrahydrocannabinol, another main component present in cannabis, lacks psychoactive characteristics and so does not get users high.

Why should you be cautious when purchasing CBD oil?

There are numerous companies that market CBD products nowadays. This makes it difficult for one to determine which products are worthy to be purchased or not. Unfortunately, not all products on the market are created equal, and it is difficult to distinguish between good and bad products. Many CBD oils and products available online are of poor quality, and some are even counterfeit. Some of these products contain THC, while others contain dangerous compounds that can lead to severe poisoning. As a result, it is important to know important points and follow some rules before purchasing the best CBD oil.

What You Should Know

Take note of the ingredients in the composition: Always read the product's ingredients and compare them to those of competing products on the market. Low-quality oils may contain hazardous chemicals such as vegetable glycerin and propylene. As a result, you should keep an eye out for the aforementioned components that can determine whether a product is good or terrible.

Check the THC content: The amount of THC allowed in CBD oils is restricted to 0.3% and if it is more than that, it will not be constituted as CBD oil.

Know the source of hemp: Knowing the source of the hemp used in the production of a CBD product is important because it gives you insight into a variety of components. Source information can show whether the hemp was grown sustainably, organically, contains pesticides, heavy metals, or other fertiliser chemicals, and was analysed by a third-party laboratory. Harmful additives can undermine the quality and safety of CBD oil. Worse, you may wind up eating hazardous amounts of those chemicals in the final product, which can lead to major health problems like kidney damage and cancer.

COA (Certificate of Analysis): A COA describes the components in a CBD product. You can request a copy from the company and a right credible company will also provide you the same.  Consider it a red flag if a company does not have a COA or would not send you one.

Testing by a Third Party: Another significant feature of a COA and a company's reliability is the using a third-party laboratory for product testing. Third-party testing increases the likelihood of accurate and unbiased results. Experts advise only purchasing CBD products that have been tested by third-party laboratories and have recent COAs to guarantee you're consuming what the label suggests.

Note: Research the brand on your own. Ask the customer team of a company about any questions you may have about the product and its benefits. If they don't know or won't help you learn about a product, consider it a red flag. And always choose the organic brand over others, CBD grown organically is more likely to be of superior quality in terms of taste, effectiveness, and safety

So we are saying,

While the internet may have you believe that CBD is a cure for all, a right and credible brand will not promote this. When you are out there to buy CBD oil, remember CBD is there to improve your well-being and not to replace your current medication suggested by your doctor.
